Rapid Weight Gain

Most of the talk these days is about losing weight but what if you find yourself in the position of needing rapid weight gain? If this is your case, say, needing to gain weight for a sport you play then you need to do the opposite of burning more calories than you take in each day. You need to take in more than you burn.

How do you make this rapid weight gain work and still stay in good shape to continue playing your chosen sport as effectively as you did before? You will need to be very careful while overloading your body with the calories it needs and maintaining the workouts you need to stay in shape so you build lean muscle and not pack on the fat.

Start by creating a plan or two. One for eating the right kinds of foods to help you gain muscle and one for working out. You will need to balance these two plans correctly to get the results you want. If you don’t know where to start then ask for help from your coach or your parents. Maybe even make an appointment with a nutritionist recommended by your doctor.

Start by figuring out the total amount of calories you need in a day. There are formulas for this kind of thing and then add good calories to each meal until you have a meal plan that will work for you.

If you watched the last summer Olympics seven gold medal winner Michael Phelps, at one point they interviewed him and asked him how many calories he needed to maintain his workout schedule. I believe it was in the range of 10,000 calories per day or something like that. An enormous amount, at any rate.

You may not need that many calories to achieve your weight gain but do not be surprised if you are close to that amount. Keep your meals balanced though, with protein and the right kinds of carbs and good fats. Good fats are the mono and polyunsaturated types found in olive oil and fish.

Keep the proteins lean, protein is needed for building muscle mass. Before you prepare them make sure that you cut off all the fat. It is no good for you. If you like fish then that is a great way to get lots of lean protein in your diet. Shrimp is especially good for you as it has the best source of protein packed into those little bite sized morsels.

The carbs you take in should be good ones also, like whole grain. Change up the cereal you eat in the morning to oatmeal or a whole grain cereal. Stay away from the sugary cereals and the flavored oatmeal instant packets. Too many bad carbs. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables, too.

Use these tips and the advice you get from your coach, doctor, or nutritionist to safely get your rapid weight gain so you can start your next season as healthy as you can with the same competitiveness you had the last season.

Weight Loss For Men- More Lean Muscle Mass

Many women think that weight loss for men is easier than it is for women. And maybe that is true, men do have more lean muscle mass on average then women. Lean muscle mass is the thing that can keep the metabolism burning hot which will help burn up those calories, but that is really only part of the picture.

You see, men have to deal with slowing metabolism as they age just like women do. In many cases it is caused by the same factors, loss of lean muscle mass. It doesn’t matter that they are male, weight loss for men will be just as challenging if they have less lean muscle mass.

The good news is that if you are really motivated, and you have the right information, there is a lot you can do to reverse this trend and stay in good shape throughout your life.

Here are some points to consider, they may just help a little:

1. Of course, the first thing you need to do before you start to workout, especially if you are over 40, is to go to your doctor and get a thorough physical. The last thing you want to have happen is to find you have some heart related issues after you start working out.

2. Get a plan, better yet, get a personal trainer. The more detailed you are in your workout routine, the more likely you will stick with it. Keeping a workout journal can be an excellent idea, especially when you are first starting.

And, as I said above, having a personal trainer teach you a good workout routine as well as the proper form to use during all the exercises will help you get the most out of each and every workout.

It may just keep you honest too. You will be less likely to slough off if your trainer is there ready to kick you in the butt.

3. Lose the notion of eating “3 squares a day”. That is not the best way to keep your body fueled throughout the day. Keeping your bodies furnace burning hot all day long is the best way to keep those unwanted love handles at bay. And the best way to keep that furnace burning hot all day long is to feed it.

Cut back on the carbs, get out of thinking that beef is a major food group and get in touch with the idea that fish is good for you.

Eat more fruits and vegetables and cut back on the beer and other alcohol. Hey, there has to be some sacrifices if you want to look great!

No matter what your age or current fitness level, weight loss for men can be accomplished and it doesn’t even have to be miserable. Just by making some simple changes to your daily routine you may be able to get back in much better shape. You can look better and feel better so it is worth the small sacrifices.

How To Lose Your Belly Fat And Get Fit

Do you dream of having a flat, firm stomach? Do you have just a little too much excess fat around your belly that you just can’t seem to get rid of? If so then this article might help you by giving you some ideas for how to lose your belly fat.

Unfortunately when you put on weight the belly is usually the first place to get fat and unfortunately it is usually the last place that you will lose fat. That is why there are many people that are reasonably fit but still have a bit of a tummy bulge. Even gym junkies who workout regularly and watch their diet closely may still be unhappy with their stomach. If you are wondering how to lose your belly fat then you need to know that you do have to be in reasonably good shape all over before you can get rid of that flab around the tummy.

If you are extremely overweight then your belly fat should not be your first concern. First you should focus on losing weight in general and getting down to a healthy weight range. You should begin eating a healthy diet and also introduce some exercise into your daily routine.

If you are in a healthy weight range but still carry some extra fat around your middle then you can start worrying about how to lose belly fat. When you are a healthy weight you will have a much better chance of tackling the belly fat problem.

Most people think that the best way to get rid of belly fat is to do sit ups or crunches and if your so called belly fat is actually just untoned muscle rather than fat then these exercises can be very effective.

If it is belly fat that you need to get rid of then you might need to try something more effective such as using a stability ball. Stability balls cost around $30 from sports stores and really are a great investment. Studies have shown that people who use a stability ball have twice the muscle fiber than people who do regular sit ups and crunches without a ball.

Other effective exercises for getting rid of belly fat are exercises that involve bringing your legs up to level with or above your waist. Kickboxing is a great way to exercise like this and get a flatter stomach. Kickboxing will give you a great cardio workout as well as giving you the left lifting exercises that help tone stomach muscles.

Dancing is another form of exercise that can benefit the stomach. There are many different types of dancing and they are all great for exercising and losing weight and toning the body. One very effective dance is belly dancing which specifically targets the muscles in the stomach. You can join a belly dancing class or even grab a DVD and do it from home. Zumba is another type of dance exercise that is becoming very popular and gives a great cardio workout. You can also do Zumba from home with a DVD or join a class.

Cardio workouts are great for burning fat but don’t rely solely on this type of exercise. It is best to combine cardio exercise with some strength training exercise to build your muscle mass. Muscle burns fat so the more muscle that you have the faster your will burn off fat.

The most important point to remember when you are trying to find out how to lose your belly fat is that if you are overweight all over there is no point focusing only on your stomach. You need to tone your body all over and lose weight all over and then if you still have some excess tummy fat you can then deal with it.

When you are a good weight for your height and age you can then target the problem area with exercises specifically designed to tone the muscles in the stomach and burn off fat.

STAY HEALTHY AND YOUNG

STAY HEALTHY AND YOUNG
Hifzur Rehman

Yes, it is possible for the people of all ages to keep themselves healthy, physically fit and young looking throughout their whole lives. Just take the following three steps and enjoy a healthy, happy and a long life.

1.Eat Balanced Food

Its OK to eat for taste or for fun and eat whatever you like most but only occasionally. Remember, if you develop bad eating habits then you would have to pay its price in the shape of bad health and illness. Hope you are wise enough not to play with your health.

Eat a wide variety of foods containing a good balance of carbohydrates, vitamins, food fiber and minerals, which are essential elements of a healthy diet. Eat simple and natural foods that are easily digestable and promote good health. Fruits, vegetables, green leaves, grains, whole grain breads, fish, poultry, low fat dairy products, honey, nuts etc. are good and nourishing food. Limit you intake of full-fat milk, full-fat yogurt, cheese, chocolate, ice cream, milk shakes, cakes, eggs, all kind of fried foods, red meat, sugar and salt.

2.Exercise Regularly

A simple way of living a healthy life is to exercise regularly. Regular exercise keeps your body in good shape, physically as well as mentally. It increases your stamina, builds and tones your muscles and energize your whole body. It also reduces the chances of having heart attacks, colon cancer, diabetes and high blood pressure.

Engage yourself in some kind of regular exercise of your own choice; brisk walking, jogging, hiking, swimming, dancing, cycling, skiing, climbing, aerobics or yoga. These are good exercises. Choose one or more exercises which you like most. Do it regularly. Give top priority to your health. Put it in your agenda. Make it a part of your goal.

3.Get Rid of Negativity

If you are a person with negative approach to everything then nothing will work for you. Even eating the balanced diet and taking part in regular physical activity will not show any sign of recovery in your body if it is charged with negativity. Get rid of negative feelings about yourself and others. Think positive, feel positive, be friendly with positive people, read a lot of self improvement and motivational material and charge your body with positive currents. Depression, stress, tension and anxiety are the products of negative thinking about life and thus increases your chances of having a heart attack and other diseases like colon cancer, high blood pressure, indigestion problems, gastric troubles, body pains, headaches etc. Find the reasons of depression and try to address them through positive thinking and a sensible approach to day to day problems. Learn from your mistakes and try your best not to repeat them. Get rid of negativity and enjoy a healthy life!
