Easy Ways To Lose Weight Fast

Is it true? Are there really easy ways to lose weight fast? Well, I guess that really depends on two main things: how much weight do you need to lose and what do you consider “fast”?

If you only need to lost a few pounds, say 2 up to 10, than you can probably drop that weight pretty quickly and easily. If, on the other hand, you need to lose 15 or more pounds and you want to do it in a week or two, you may not have realistic expectations.

There are some easy ways to lose weight fast, but most of them will only involve losing some water weight and will only result in losing a few pounds. The water weight will usually come right back as soon as you starting eating normally again.

The fast methods don’t usually include actually losing excess body fat. Losing the excess body fat, as opposed to only losing water weight, is the only real way to lose weight and have it stay off (at least as long as you don’t just go back to your old habits of eating).

Many of these fast weight loss plans will revolve around some sort of liquid fasting or cleansing. There are many variations but the general theory is the same:

1. You will greatly reduce, or eliminate completely, eating solid foods for several days.

2. During that time you will ingest only liquid shakes or some sort of cleanse mixture. There are many recipes online that you can try. The idea is to provide your body with the nutrients it needs and/ or help you flush toxins out of your body.

For the most part, these types of weight loss plans are good for getting off to a quick start but if you need to lose more than 10 – 15 pounds, it’s unlikely that you will get the results you want from just this method.

I don’t mean to be the bearer of bad news but any significant weight loss is going to take some time and it is going to be the result of a combination of watching what you eat as well as some sort of physical activity.

Pills, potions and gadgets will only get you so far, from that point on you will need to get more exercise and eat less (also eat better).

But, having said that, don’t make the mistake of thinking that to lose weight you need to go hardcore. Some simple lifestyle changes can make a big difference. The most important thing to remember is that unless you want to gain the weight back right away, you have to make permanent lifestyle changes.

Just going on a “diet” will only allow you to lose weight, but if you don’t make permanent changes you will just gain it all back sooner or later.

There may not really be such a thing as easy ways to lose weight fast if you have a lot of weight to lose. But there are some simple things you can do to make changes to your life that will result (maybe not in quick) but permanent weight loss.

Weight Loss Drugs And Teens-Parents Need To Monitor

When it comes to weight loss drugs and teens it may be a case of picking the lesser of two evils. As parents we are never thrilled to give our kids any type of medication unless absolutely necessary. Many of us are concerned about any possible long term side effects. Weight loss drugs are no different.

As parents we don’t take the idea of weight loss drugs and teens lightly. But, if your teenager is obese and you need something that will help them start along a healthier path, isn’t it worth it?

I’m not a doctor and only your doctor can provide you with bona fide medical advice, but as a parent I would balance the pros and cons and proceed with the advice of my doctor.

For example, if my child was only mildly overweight, say between 20 -50 lbs. I would probably encourage them to lose weight in a more natural way. I would tell them how to eat better and encourage them to get more exercise.

Actually, that is exactly what I did when my child needed to lose weight. I worked out with him (though he only wanted to go when there was no one at the gym so we went to workout at midnight!).

But it was good for him to see his mom working out too. And though he would never admit it, I think he really appreciated the motivation and the fact that I was willing to go with him.

If your teen is hundreds of pounds overweight, though, you may need something a little more drastic. Weight loss takes time and anyone who tries to tell you different is lying (or trying to sell you something or both). Since it takes time it can seem overwhelming and it may make your teen reluctant to even start.

Any short term solution that can help them start to see results more quickly may be necessary to help your teen succeed in their weight loss goals.

It’s important for the success of your teen getting in shape that they approach this process with realistic expectations and time frames.

It will only discourage them if they think they will have a certain result in a certain time frame and they don’t achieve that goal.

But, seeing even small results may help them stay motivated and encourage them to keep going. And that is where supplements may be able to come in.

Some supplements that can help your teen kick start their weight loss and allow them to see some results fairly quickly (even if it is just water weight) might still be enough to keep them motivated and moving forward.

So, if you want to help your teen get in better shape, either try to do it yourself by encouraging more exercise and better eating habits, or talk to you doctor about some sort of supplements.

Weight loss drugs and teens may not be an ideal combination but in some cases it may just be the lesser or two evils.

3 Tips For Choosing A Weight Loss Program

Statistics make it very clear that the population, as a whole, is getting heavier and heavier. The problem with this is that it comes with a lot of bad consequences on our health. Perhaps that why so many people are trying to lose weight. One of the most common ways for doing this is to find a weight loss program that sounds interesting. If you are looking for a weight loss program, then you are aware of how many different ones are out there. In fact, there are so many that it can get downright confusing, but that should never be an excuse for not losing weight. With that in mind, here are some tips to help you choose the best weight loss program for you.

1. Research. There is no way around it, this is going to take some time. As mentioned, there are a lot of different programs out there, and they often contradict one another. However, one of the main things you are likely interested in is results. After all, it doesn’t matter how good a program is supposed to be if it doesn’t work for you. The first thing you can do is read how each particular program has worked for those who have tried it. Pay extra attention to any claims of the diet not working, and why it didn’t work for that person. It can still work for you, but you will have more realistic expectations once you begin.

Next, look for any endorsements from organizations and professionals. Of course you will give extra importance to people and groups you have already heard of and trust. At the same time, watch out for endorsements from people you have never heard of. Either way, it is up to you to do your due diligence to see if the people are qualified to make an assessment of any weight loss program.

Furthermore, part of that research has to include talking to your health care provider. They will be aware of any potential problems you may run into, and they will also be able to add recommendations of their own.

2. Cost. The truth is that we all have different budgets, and that may prevent us from doing certain diet programs. For example, some plans include having ready-made food delivered to your home. While they may work, they also cost a lot of money. If you have the money to spare, and you would like to do such a plan, no problem. However, if you can’t really afford it, but try it anyway, you will start to feel angry if you don’t see immediate results, and that won’t help you to lose weight.

Not to worry, though. The effectiveness of a weight loss program isn’t measured by how much it costs. So, keep looking and you will find a plan that fits into your budget.

3. Think logically. Sellers of diet programs are experts at getting you worked up emotionally, but don’t fall for that trap. That’s why it’s so important to do the previous steps; they will help you to look at various weight loss programs logically. And, that means you are more likely to choose the one that’s the best for you.

Tummy Tuck Scars – Yes – But Great Abs

Hey, I know you’re worried about tummy tuck scars, I mean what’s the point of undergoing such a major surgery if you won’t be able to show off your abs because you have some ugly scar, right? Well, relax , the scar is usually big, but there are a few things that you should know.

First things first, make sure that before you have your tummy tuck that you have realistic expectations. It’s always best to invest the time to get in shape before the tummy tuck, don’t think of this surgery as a ‘diet’ plan. It really should only be used as a ‘finishing touch’ to tighten skin and repair torn muscles that no amount of diet and exercise can repair.

It’s also important to realize that a lot of people subconsciously think that once they look good everything will go great for them in life. Not so. Sure, you’ll look great and that will make you feel great, but life can still have it’s ups and downs so be prepared. The weird thing is that many people feel this way but few are aware they feel that way so it can blindside you after the surgery. Just be on the lookout for it.

Now, on to the tummy tuck scars, yes the scar will usually go from hip to hip, but if you have a qualified surgeon the scar will be so low that you can still wear that skimpy two piece you’ve had your eye on. Another thing to remember is that the scar will fade over time.

How long it takes for the scar to fade to the point where you can’t hardly see it will depend on your skin type. There are some people who claim that certain creams can help lessen the redness of the scar more quickly but you should talk to your doctor first to get his opinion.

You will also be bruised and swollen for weeks after the procedure. This is another common misconception. The swelling will go down after several weeks but until it does you’ll probably look bigger than you did before the surgery. Don’t let this bum you out, it’s only temporary. When everything fades and the swelling goes down you’ll love the way you look.

Some people also believe that tummy tucks are temporary. You’ll have to ask your doctor about that, but in my experience (yes, I’ve had one) the only way to go back to the way you were before is if you gain back all the weight you lost. So, don’t!

Do yourself a favor, take time to get in shape by eating right and getting plenty of exercise. Once you’ve done that honestly access the way you look. Once you’ve done all that you can do it might be time to see a plastic surgeon if you’re still not quite ‘there’. Don’t worry about tummy tuck scars they are very low and will fade over time so you’ll be able to show off your hot abs!
