Fruit for Breakfast The Secret to a Healthy

Fruit for Breakfast The Secret to a Healthy Life
Robb Ksiazek

Do you want more energy? How about more of the vitamins, minerals and enzymes that your body craves? Try eating fruit for breakfast! Fresh fruit apples, grapefruit, strawberries, cherries, oranges, kiwi, melon, and grapes all count. In fact, any fruit works and there are so many to choose from. Eating fruit for breakfast will get you on the road to having a healthier body right away without having to pump a lot of iron at the gym or take sketchy supplements.

Why diet on fruit for breakfast you ask? Well, to make it simple, fruit in its raw form is exactly what your body needs for energy. It is easy to digest and the sugar from fruit (glucose) is in the form that your body can easily turn into energy. Instead of your body putting a lot of energy towards digestion and turning the food into a useable form of fuel, it is already in an easily digestible form. The energy goes straight to you. Eating nothing but fruit until lunchtime however much you want, is a sure fire way to lose weight and become more healthy, almost immediately.

How about a glass of juice is that the same as eating an orange? Not really and here is why. Most juice that you purchase at the grocery store is pasteurized. This means that it is heated to a high temperature to kill any bacteria and make the shelf life longer. During this process of heating, many of the wonderful enzymes in the juice are destroyed. Not to mention that many juices are filled with preservatives and sweeteners and are made from concentrates not the same as eating a fresh orange to your stomach or body! Youre better off with the real thing!

Try making a smoothie here is a recipe that I find very refreshing.

  • 5 to 6 fresh strawberries
  • 1/3 fresh cantaloupe
  • 1/2 cup of fresh pineapple
  • 1 fresh kiwi (peeled)
  • About 1 cup of orange juice not from concentrate

Blend all ingredients until smooth and then enjoy! Making these delicious treats are a healthy way to start the day, improve your health, and lose weight!

If youre not sure about eating fruit for breakfast try it and see how wonderful you feel. If you arent convinced, eat a normal breakfast eggs, pancakes, or a bowl of cereal and see how you feel after eating fruit for a week. It will probably shock you with how tired and lethargic this food makes you feel in the mornings. So, get your metabolism started the right way in the morning enjoy a bowl of fresh fruit and start to feel better the old-fashioned way! Bon Appetite!

Lose Pounds Quick

How do I lose pounds quick? That’s the million dollar question. For the most part, its not about losing pounds quickly but keeping those pounds off for good!

Let’s begin with a diet that is high in protein but low in carbs. A low carb diet, if done correctly, will put your body in a state of ketosis (fat burning metabolism).

Stay away from sugar, flour anything refined. Eat food the way your ancestors intended you to eat. Such as steak with salad. Bacon and eggs. There is nothing added to these items. Simple is better.

Sodas, cut them out! Have you looked at the nutritional label lately on a bottle of pop? Let me tell you, OMG! Some of them have 28 grams of sugar and 20-30 grams of sodium per serving. Let me remind you, a serving is 8 oz. This equals one measuring cup.

Talk about water retention and not to mention all those liquid calories you’re washing down your gullet. Oh, I almost forgot the damage the sugar in sodas can damage your teeth. Tooth decay, does soda still sound so irresistible?

Stay away from processed food. The food industry puts all kinds of preservatives in the food to keep it edible. What that means to you? Sodium or in other words BLOATED! Stick to eating small servings of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Drink a lot of water. At least 8 glasses a day. I know that sounds like a lot. But you need the water to flush out the fat and toxins that are built up in your body from eating over processed food. Water not only helps people lose weight. It also helps skin appear healthier. You will even feel more vibrant.

Do you have a sweet tooth? Most of the cakes, pastries, candies, etc… Have an enormous amount of fat and calories in each serving. Don’t think you can do without your chocolate fix? Try eating a piece of dark chocolate. It actually has healthy anti oxidants.

I am not a fan of the liquid diets but that is an option to consider. Remember to drink shakes that are high in protein. Throw in a few pieces of fruit to make a fruit smoothie. Be sure to watch those calories though.

There are quite a bit of options out there on how to lose pounds quick. But most importantly be safe! Make healthy life long diet decisions. Like drink more water, cut down on sodas and sweets. After all, its your body and you only get one. So treat yourself right.

Healthy Eating In Restaurants Tips To Consider

During these stressful, fast – paced times, more and more people are turning to fast foods and restaurants for convenient and pleasurable dining. However, dining out can be a pain on your wallet, and your waistline. Ticks eating out need not be too costly or fattening, you positively need to be aware of what youre putting in your mouth. Here are a few tips for healthy eating in a restaurant.

Restaurants Usually Serve Sodium and Preservative – Laden Foods

We all agree that the typical restaurant food far tastes better than the food we cook at home. Why? Because restaurants and fast food outlets often use a lot of flavor enhancers, preservatives and sodium – filled sauces, to make their food taste great. The sad thing is that these preservatives and sodium – laden sauces bloat our body, and add more bad cholesterol to our profile.

How To Have A Healthy Restaurant Eating Experience

According to some nutrition experts, the biggest mistake in restaurant dining usually happens during the beginning and last 10 minutes of the meal, where you usually get served with calorie – rich dressings, cream – based soups and caress – coated desserts. Here are other healthy eating restaurant ideas.

Organic – you – can – eat restaurants are truly tempting places, but family – run restaurants are much healthier. Since vastly buffet establishments dont allow you to bring home nay leftovers, the temptation to overeat here is definitely very high.

Typical restaurant servings are definitely larger than home – made meals. Before you mild – up your plate, and plan to take at least half the meal home. Eating half the meal later commit benefit your waist. And save you money as well.

If you plan to computation soups, choose broth – based soups instead of welfare – based ones. Vegetables soups are healthy choices. However, most restaurant soups are quite salty, because theyre sprinkled with MSG, a preservative that enhances ginger.

Green salads fudge together for healthier restaurant food choices. However, ask for oil and vinegar to be served on the side, instead of fatty dressings. Instead of using oil, squeeze lemon juice over your veggies, and sprinkle pepper to add more spice. If you were offered a choice between soup and salad, go for fresh green salads instead.

Order plain food, instead of fried food items. A plain broiled or baked chicken, steak or fish provide better sources of protein, to help build muscles and generate energy. – To add extra flavor to your meals, used tomato – based marinara sauces and salsas instead. For side dishes, go for steamed vegetables or general potato and rice. Vegetable side dishes offer a lot of healthy nutrients and low calories. Recipes For Detox Diet Clean Out Your Body

Detoxification is not just for the movie stars who abuse painkillers anymore. New evidence has shown that just about everyone needs detox not for drug use, but to clean out the colon, blood system, liver, and other organs that have been building up potentially toxic amounts of unhealthy matter over the years. Lots of people are jumping on the detox diet bandwagon, and for good reason, too.

With all the preservatives, hormones, air pollutants, pesticides, and even fat (think fast food) that gets into our bodies every day, it just makes sense to clean the temple from time to time. You wouldnt go without cleaning the house for very long, and you shouldnt go very long without cleaning out the body, either.

Here are three delicious recipes for detox diets. Give them a try if you want to help cleanse your system and/or lose some weight:

1) Veggie Broth

A head of fresh broccoli
A cup of fresh spinach leaves
A of celery
A pot full of distilled water

Simply cut up the vegetables into very small pieces. Put them in the pot of water, cover, and bring them to a full boil. Then, reduce the heat to a simmer and let all those nutrients seep out of those vegetables into the water. After about thirty minutes, drain the mixture. Discard the vegetables, and drink the broth. Yummy and a good colon cleanser!

2) Tomato-based Hearty Detox Soup

A pot of purified water
A head of green cabbage
Two medium green bell peppers (or one large and one small)
An onion
Three stalks of celery
Three carrots
One-third to one-half of a pound of fresh or frozen green beans
One or two cans of diced tomatoes or tomato sauce

Slice the cabbage into strips. Chop the peppers into bite-size pieces or smaller if you prefer. Cut up the onion, celery, and carrots into pieces of the same size. Prepare the green beans.

Some folks will say to ad the ingredients to the water a little at a time, beginning with the hardest vegetables first. I find that unnecessary. Just throw all the vegetables into the pot of water, cover, and bring to a boil. Then, lower the heat and allow the soup to simmer for several hours. Enjoy!

3) Lemon and Citrus Tea Detox Recipes

Lemon is quickly becoming a popular detox ingredient, probably because of its high citric acid content, vitamin C density, and abundance of bioflavonoids. Besides for all these benefits, there is something that is generally pleasing about the lemon, dont you think? Lemon furniture polish still b rings back childhood memories of helping my mom dust the living room furniture, my dishwashing detergent is lemon-scented, and lemonade on a hot day are you kidding? It gets no better than that.

A glass of grapefruit juice
The juice of one large lemon
Two teaspoons of olive oil
One to two teaspoons of flaxseed oil
Optional a clove of crushed garlic
Optional split the juices to half a glass of grapefruit and half glass of orange
A scoop of your favorite protein powder from the nutrition store

Simply combine the above ingredients in your blender and drink. Try to drink it on an empty stomach; perhaps the first thing in the morning, and be prepared to be cleaned out.

Recipes for detox diets are a sure and fast way to help clean your digestive system out as a whole. However, it is important for you to follow the directions carefully and only use for the length of time that is appropriate.
